Mapsprink is a personal, for-fun travel check-in app. By using it you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the app. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live (or have a parent or guardian's consent) to use it. In short: it's provided “as is”, the map data is for casual visualisation only, and you are responsible for keeping your own backups of your progress.
Mapsprink is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defect will be corrected.
Your check-ins and settings are stored locally on your device (and only in your own Google Drive if you choose to back up there).

images you can share from the camera feature. The Import feature accepts
only that JSON backup, exactly as the app exported it. Manually editing,
hand-crafting, or otherwise altering it — or attempting to import a photo, screenshot, or any other
file that the app did not export as a backup — may cause data anomalies, corruption, wrong or
missing records, failed imports, or loss of your progress. We are not responsible for
problems caused by modified files or by importing anything other than an unaltered app backup.If you connect Google Drive, backup and restore rely on Google's service and your own account. We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, integrity, or success of that service, and a sync or restore may fail or produce incomplete results. Treat cloud backup as a convenience, not a guarantee.
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue the app, any feature, any country or region data, the hosting, or the service as a whole at any time, without notice or liability. We do not guarantee any level of availability or that content already present will remain available.
The app depends on third-party data and services (open map data, flag assets, Google sign-in/Drive, the hosting provider and app store). Their content, terms, and availability are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their changes, errors, downtime, or discontinuation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mapsprink and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the app, the map data, your saved progress, backups, or any paid content — even if advised of the possibility. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the amount (if any) you paid for the app or the affected content.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the app or to any unlocked content if you materially breach these terms.
The app itself — its software, design, original text and graphics, and the “Mapsprink” name (separate from the third-party open data and assets described in section 2, which remain the property of their respective owners under their own licences) — belongs to the developer and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Using the app grants you only a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence for its intended personal, non-commercial use, and transfers no ownership to you.
If any provision of these terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be applied to the minimum extent necessary or removed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer (and its agents) from and against any third-party claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the app, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or any third party's rights.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree that the courts of Taiwan shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the app. This does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory consumer-protection law of your place of residence that cannot be waived by agreement.
The developer is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including outages, network or third-party service failures, device or OS issues, acts of God, or changes in law.
Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and the developer regarding the app, and supersede any prior understanding. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms; we may assign ours in connection with a transfer of the app. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including the disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — survive termination.
We may update these terms; the “last updated” date will change and the current version will be available in the app and posted on our website. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These Terms are written in English, which is the authoritative, governing version. Traditional Chinese (繁體中文) and Simplified Chinese (简体中文) versions are provided for convenience only. If there is any conflict, ambiguity, or discrepancy between the English version and any translation, the English version prevails.
